At Rodef Sholom, we strive to build community in a variety of ways, from connecting congregants who can make meals to congregants in need through our Nichum program to having congregants lead Torah study to having congregants serve as mentors to Jews-by-choice. In fact, much of the programming we offer is lay-led, because our congregants know the value of community. Our Men's Spiritual Journey Group is a great example of a lay-led group, and you can read more about it here. Interested seniors meet once a month for The Lunch Bunch and parents of children with disabilities have formed Kulanu/Inclusion, a committee whose goal is to facilitate inclusion of members with special needs in all aspects of our congregational community. If working for the common good is your passion, then check out our Volunteer Opportunities. Rodef Sholom congregants volunteer in many different capacities - here at the synagogue, with the larger Jewish community, and throughout Marin County and the Bay Area - from direct services, like volunteering on Mitzvah Day or at the St. Vincent de Paul Free Dining Room, to serving on the board of a local non-profit. We have suggestions for one-time events, ongoing concerns, things you can do from home or with your family. Click here for more information. If none of these seem to be the right path for you to connect within our kehilla kedosha, or for more information about any of these programs, call Moji at 479.3441.
