The Women of Rodef Sholom, informally referred to as Sisterhood, offers its members an opportunity for personal growth and involvement through religious, social, educational and community service activities.  Programs are scheduled throughout the year and include workshops, lectures and field trips. Among its many contributions, the Women of Rodef Sholom provide gifts to each Bar and Bat Mitzvah and confirmand, and to new members of the congregation as well.  Our Gift Shop, located next door in the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center, is one of the Bay Area's well-known resources for unique Judaica.  Click here for hours and phone number.

Annual WRS events

  • Women of Rodef Sholom/Retreat, September
Our retreat is a special time women of Congregation Rodef Sholom spend together. We take the time to take a break from the busyness of our lives and to renew our selves. Friendships are formed and strengthened and we learn more about Judaism and ourselves.  There are joyous services, full of singing and learning.  We have a variety of workshops, usually both as a whole community and in smaller groups. There is time to relax. Both Friday and Saturday night we have evening programs, which over the years have included films, discussions, rituals, and other participatory activities.  To hear from past participants, click here.
  • Pizza Bingo - our annual fundraiser for RuSTY - our Rodef Sholom Temple Youth!
Bring your friends and family to play bingo for a good cause:  RuSTY. Every year the Women of Rodef Sholom organize this great opportunity for loads of fun while raising money for all kinds of youth activities here at the synagogue.
  • WRS and Kol HaMishpacha Tu B'Shevat Seder, February/March:
Tu B'Shevat is the New Year (birthday) for the Trees, and we celebrate by eating the fruits of trees traditionally grown in Israel. Join the Women of Rodef Sholom, family, friends and Kol HaMishpacha.
  • The Women of Rodef Sholom Women's Seder, March/April
Time is flying by so quickly and before you know it, the annual and fabulous Women's Seder will be upon us. We look forward to having you join us for what promises to be a warm, spiritual event which honors the contribution of women throughout Jewish history and encompasses the true meaning of sisterhood. Bring your sister, mother, aunt, daughter, best friend and yourself.
