Rodef Sholom: A Reform Jewish Congregation in Marin County, California

At this service, our 10th grade confirmation class will receive a blessing and our 12th graders will teach as part of their graduation from Midrasha, our religious school for teens. If you are a 10th, 11th or 12th grade family, you should have received an invitation to the service and the dinner that follows it. It has been a fantastic year of learning at Congregation Rodef Sholom Religious School and we have many people to thank. We also are extremely proud to announce that our Midrasha Fire Circle teacher Day Schildkret is the winner of the prestigious Helen Diller Family Excellence in Jewish Education award in the Congregational and Community Schools category. Tuesday, May 14, 8:45 pm until late
On Shavuot, we remember what it was like to be at Mount Sinai and to receive whatever divine inspiration we believe we received there. The mystics thought that, since we were remembering Sinai on Shavuot it was likely that God might impart some more divine inspiration on the very same day - therefore, we stay up late waiting and listening on Shavuot just in case God has something to say. 

 Join us for a joint teen & adult service at 8:45 pm, which will last for about a half hour, followed by a dairy oneg, and then some additional learning with our clergy from 9:30 to 10:30 pm (as well as a chance to learn what the fire pit is all about with one of our special award-winning Midrasha teachers, Day Schildkret – see above!).
