The August Outdoor Sanctuary

On the third Friday of August, we will hold 6 pm Kabbalat (Welcoming) Shabbat services outside at the Mikdash Ba’Teva: The Outdoor Sanctuary. Please invite your friends and neighbors to commune with God and connect with nature. All you need to do is bring your blanket, some lawn chairs, a picnic dinner, a dessert to share and your willingness to participate. We’ll bring the challah. 

6:00 pm service followed by a picnic dinner*

•August 16—China Camp Village Located just down the road from Rodef Sholom, China Camp Village is on the upper grass meadow adjacent to the parking lot and above the water. 

*Please note: There will still be a separate 8 pm Shabbat service at Rodef Sholom on these nights, but no 6:15 pm service. 

This summer, the Outdoor Sanctuary is co-sponsored by the PJ Library!
PJ Library is a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, made possible through partnerships with philanthropists and local Jewish organizations.
