Apply to be a madrich and get valuable community service hours, too

Before you scatter to all corners of the planet for the summer, we want to remind you that you should apply to be a madrich(a) for next year's Religious School children. Why?

Here are some really good reasons:

  • be a mentor to a little kid
  • build your leadership skills
  • earn valuable community service hours
  • add to your job and college resume
  • get letters of recommendation from your supervisors, and
  • most importantly, do a mitzvah and pass on your Judaism to the next generation!

Please fill it out an application (there’s a link on the front page of our website, ) and return it to Claire before you go away.

Kol tuv/All our best,
Claire Mikowski & Irene Resnikoff

•Tot Shabbat Pre-Purim Costume Party!
Saturday, March 3, 9:30 to 10:15 am, Sanctuary
Dress as a king or a queen (or Elmo) at our Purim costume party! Just expect a silly service because Purim is the time when we laugh at ourselves and everything that we take seriously during the rest of the year. Come and hear the story and be really silly in the sanctuary. Everyone welcome!

Don't forget to put PurimPalooza on your calendar for Sunday, March 11, 11:30 am--3 pm. We will be partnering with the Osher Marin JCC and others in the community to provide carnival games, live entertainment, delicious food and a costume parade.  Come in costume and stop by and say hello to our CRuSTY teens, who will be working to help your kids have fun!

We are re-invigorating our college outreach program, thanks to Harriett Michael! We are collecting the emails and mailing addresses of current college students who are living away from home – we want to be able to send (periodically) your child cards and packages and love. Please contact Pete at with your name, your student’s full name, and his or her grade, birth date, email and mailing address.
