Next year, Rodef Sholom is going back to Israel twice!
Starting in September, we are lifting up the Third Friday 8 pm Shabbat service to become a more traditional Rodef Sholom service, moving and inspiring, centered around sophisticated Jewish music and deep Jewish learning.We will be featuring guest speakers and adults-only dinners throughout the year.
Please join us for the Third Friday 8 pm Shabbat service with our artist-in-residence, Dan Nichols. He will be presenting "My heart is in the East, Israel in song". Dan will share original Jewish songs focused on Israel and our relationship with our homeland as American Reform Jews.
The fall schedule for the Third Friday 8 pm Shabbat service will be published on the Adult Education insert to the October/November Voice.
Save the Date: Saturday, August 30, 5 - 8 pm, End-of-Summer Rock 'n Roll Picnic & Havdallah Bring a picnic dinner, a blanket, and your dancing shoes! We'll provide ice cream and music. Jam with New Orleans rock 'n roll musicians Bobby Lonero, Miss Judy, and their daughter. Meet and reunite with Rodef Sholom congregants who traveled to New Orleans to help rebuild the city, post-Katrina. The festivities will take place at Swig Field. RSVP to Gigi at
