HELP US BUILD OUR COMMUNITY BY GETTING INVOLVED!

We build community many different ways at Rodef Sholom. Much of the programming we offer is lay-led, because our congregants know the value of community. There are many ways to get involved!

WOMEN OF RODEF SHOLOM

The Women of Rodef Sholom is a Sisterhood member of the Women of Reform Judaism and is an organization for all women, both Jewish and non-Jewish, who want to promote the well-being of our Reform Jewish congregation.  WRS has their own website - click here.

MEN'S SPIRITUAL JOURNEY GROUP

Come join this group, to discuss such things as life journeys, religious backgrounds, differing relationships to God, Torah portions, roles as Jewish fathers, husbands or men, tzedakah, and our roles in Jewish or secular organizations.  Meets the second Monday of the month - see the calendar for dates.

For more information, please contact Mike Ralston (mikeralston@ att.net) or Steve Saxe (saxe.steven@gmail.com).

Join us for this monthly lunch-and-learn program hosted by our clergy. Connect with longtime friends and meet new ones! This program is free and is co-sponsored by Women of Rodef Sholom. RSVP here by the Monday before each luncheon so that we can make sure to have enough food.

KENNETH JORDAN LEVY FAMILY CAMP WEEKEND

Friday afternoon to Sunday morning in March (check the calendar for specific dates)

Join us for this amazing weekend of relaxed fun & spiritual replenishment! Meet new people, enjoy the outdoors, do yoga, learn from our clergy, get a massage, relax, sing, play — slow down and experience Shabbat in a whole new way. For kids enrolled in our religious school, the cost of Family Camp is already included in your tuition for your immediate family, but you still need to register to save a spot. For all other families with kindergarteners through 6th graders, we would love to have you join us! If you have any questions, contact Moji at moji@rodefsholom.org or 415.479.3441.

TORAH WITH SOUL

Most Saturdays*, 9:00 am, Library (2nd floor of JCC)
Whether you are a Torah veteran, or completely new to Torah, all are welcome. Shabbat by Shabbat, we will study the weekly parsha, based on the third year of the triennial cycle. Additionally, time permitting, we'll continue our study of the Book of Psalms.

*On the third Saturday of each month, weather permitting, Torah with Soul becomes Torah on the Trails, where we take a short hike on a local trail before studying Torah surrounded by nature. To be added to the Torah with Soul and/or Torah on the Trails email lists, please contact Sofie at sofie@rodefsholom.org.

PLAY SOFTBALL WITH THE CO-ED RODEF REBELS!

Fall and Spring months - check the calendar for times and locations
The highly-successful Rodef Sholom Rebels have taken home the BATS (Bay Area Torah Softball) championship trophy four out of the last five seasons, and we're out to defend our title once again. Come cheer for your home team or even join the game! Whether your preferred spot is in the stands or on the field, do yourself a favor and get in on the action. (Bonus: unlike those Giants tickets you're trying to score, admission is completely free!) Young or old, no experience necessary, and we don't mind if you wear a leg brace - most of us do! If you're interested in joining our team, contact Linda Clark at lkcrn10@msn.com. Here's to a great season!

KEHILLAH GROUPS AT RODEF SHOLOM - MAKING THE SYNAGOGUE SMALLER!

Kehillah groups are intentional, lay-led communities, whose members come together on a regular basis with the understanding that Jewish tradition and deep personal relationships add meaning to our lives. Check out the Kehillah Groups that are launching Spring 2023, and sign up for ones that appeal to you. If you have any questions, or ideas for additional Kehillah Groups, contact Moji Javid at moji@rodefsholom.org with your questions.

VOLUNTEERING IN THE OFFICE

One of the easiest ways to help the synagogue is to help with office projects, such as mailings.  Most of these are small-scale, time-limited projects that occur four or five times a year.  Contact Sofie at sofie@rodefsholom.org if you would like to be put on the list to help out.

VOLUNTEERING ON RODEF SHOLOM COMMITTEES

Contact Moji Javid at moji@rodefsholom.org with your questions.
