Congregation Rodef Sholom:
Igniting the Passion to Connect
Dear {{first_name}},
On Sunday, December 13, 2020 we welcomed hundreds of congregants for a drive through Chanukah happening with Johnny Doughnuts. Rabbi Stacy, Rabbi Elana and Cantor David were there, safely distanced, masked and welcoming everyone, with gelt and candles.
At one stop congregants were asked: “What is bringing you light this Chanukah?” or “How you are sharing your light with others?” All the stickies above are various responses from congregants, family and friends. Along with “vaccine” and “connecting with friends and family on Zoom,” a consistent answer was “Rodef Sholom” itself.
It’s important that we continually strive to make it better—connecting with everyone virtually as best we can, now and moving forward. To serve you all more effectively Congregation Rodef Sholom is installing a new member system called Shul Cloud.
Shul Cloud will help the synagogue in tracking membership, yahrzeit observances and keeping you connected to Rodef electronically. We have prepared a set of introductory instructions, along with a set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) here below in this email.
A few of you may be getting updates about online payments. Thank you for the gracious inquiries we have gotten so far as we get up to speed. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Early in 2021, we will share out the mobile app through which all members will be able connect with other congregants, with easy access to fellow member contact information on your mobile phone.
More soon...and thanks in advance for your understanding as we roll out the new system. We look forward to hearing from you.
With thanks,
James
