Juan Rodriguez, Principal of Venetia Valley School, gave an inspiring speech during this High Holy Day's Sukkot Festival:

Rabbi Elana, Rabbi Stacy, thank you for pursuing paths of interconnectedness and continuing to open your hearts and community to me and to all of us across the way at Venetia Valley. This bond has helped shape our vision for our school and sustains me emotionally and spiritually to do this important work.

Yom Hazikaron

Today, May 1, marks Yom Hazikaron, the Israeli memorial day to fallen soldiers and victims of terror attacks.

"We want to stand with our brothers and sisters of faith throughout the country and make sure that everybody feels safe and seen and heard," Friedman said. Care for Those in Need by Rabbi Stacy Friedman

I remember something Robin Williams said about Marin County many years ago when he appeared on the Tonight Show.  He said that when you drive over the Golden Gate Bridge and up the Waldo grade, you see that great rainbow tunnel.  But, he lamented, “I don’t know why there’s a rainbow there, because once you cross through the tunnel, there’s no rainbow of colors, only white.”
