Jacob "Hershey" Hershman

Jacob “Hershey” Hershman was raised at Peninsula Temple Sholom in Burlingame and spent many summers at Camp Newman. For the last three summers, he has worked alongside mental health professionals as a member of Newman’s Nefesh camper care team. 

Jacob graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in psychology. Since graduating in 2022, he has been looking for opportunities to combine his commitments to physical and mental health with his passion for building welcoming communities. In his free time, you can find Jacob playing or watching sports, reading a good book, or making a bad joke. He is really looking forward to being a part of this community and helping to plan an exciting year.
