Storytelling On the Road to Liberation: How Women's Stories Change the Story
Sunday, March 14, 2021 • 1 Nisan 5781
5:00 PM - 6:00 PMPresented by the Women of Rodef Sholom and Rabbi Elana Rosen-Brown
B’chol dor vador chayav adam lirot et atzmo k’ilu hu yatza mimitzrayim are the words that animate our Passover Seders: "Each generation is obligated to see themselves as if they themselves have come out of Egypt."
We are commanded to tell the story of Passover each year so we can touch into the experience of slaver and freedom. But liberation can be constricted or expanded depending on the storyteller. Over the past fifty years women have been re-storying the Jewish story. In this workshop we will take a look at the history of re-storying Judaism to include women's voices and new directions in 2021 for liberation.
