BECOMING A MEMBER

All are welcome here. Our community includes Jews by choice, parents raising Jewish children, interfaith families and partners, as well as Jews of all backgrounds, ethnicities and sexual orientation.

We are proud that synagogue policy is that no household be denied membership due to genuine financial hardship. The sustaining Membership level established by the Board of Directors for fiscal year 2025 -2026 is $4,380, or quarterly payments of $1,095, or monthly payments of $365. Sustaining Membership also ensures that our sacred community may continue to thrive, operate seamlessly, and serve all congregants throughout the year.

Building and Security Fee: The building fee covers ongoing support for our new building and our increased insurance costs.The security fee supports the security needs of Rodef Sholom that we share with our campus partners (Osher Marin JCC and Brandeis).

STEP THREE - ANNUAL GIVING

At Rodef Sholom, membership dues alone do not cover our full operating budget. To bridge the gap, we must increase our fundraising and raise $1 million through our Annual Giving Fund. Your gift—above and beyond membership dues—helps us retain our exceptional staff, provide tuition assistance to families in need, and offer the innovative programs that define our vibrant community.

Contributions to the Annual Giving Fund are vital to our success and the future of our synagogue. Your support enables us to:

* Ensure every child has access to a Jewish education at our Religious School
* Make membership accessible to all, regardless of financial capacity
* Offer robust, year-round programming for all ages—from holiday celebrations to inspiring speakers and intergenerational gatherings
* Retain the talented clergy, educators, and staff who enrich and support our community every day

The Talmud teaches us, Kol Yisrael arevim zeh bazeh – each of us is responsible for one another and for our community. We have inherited an incredible legacy from those who came before us at Rodef Sholom, and we must continue to steward this legacy for the generations to come.
