Trans HeartLine Volunteer Form
Please verify reCaptcha before submitting the form.
Thank you for your interest in helping this wonderful organization. The premise is simple, people come from all over the US since the Bay Area is an excellent place to get gender affirming surgery. We provide meals for them while they are recovering from surgery every six to eight weeks.
Please complete your contact information below and we will get in touch shortly.
The surgery is often complicated, requiring time to heal and rest. Even when insurance covers the surgery, you still need a place to stay which can be expensive.
Trans HeartLine
is an affordable and highly supportive option for patients and their care givers.
Our participation adds a depth to their stay. There are 8 faith-based organizations in Marin County that bring weekly meals to the house. Every Sunday, a church or synagogue, delivers food with the occasional note or card. Imagine the power of that delivery. It is no longer about the food; it is about being seen and acknowledged.

Trans HeartLine
builds bridges between the Transgender community and the rest of the world through community education and advocacy, direct post-op housing and wrap around services related to gender affirmation surgery, and innovative and compassionate care. Trans HeartLine is a 501(3)c nonprofit. We have created safe, affordable, post-op housing in the Bay Area. We are focused on creating a healing environment in which Gender affirmation surgery clients can focus on healing and not survival. Recovering in a safe environment contributes to faster healing with fewer complications. We are educating and advocating in the Faith communities and beyond by having the hard conversations about what it means to be transgender and the challenges we face.
