Tashlich
Tashlich, meaning "cast away," is a beautiful outdoor ritual observed at the close of Rosh Hashanah. It's a chance to symbolically release the missteps and regrets of the past year.
During this ritual, we gather by flowing water – like a river, lake, or creek – and cast away our bad habits, misdeeds, and regrets. We use millet or cracked corn for this, making it a tangible and sustainable way to let go of what no longer serves us.
This tradition comes at a powerful time, as we're deeply engaged in teshuvah – a period of moral self-reflection. It's a journey that takes us from the preparatory month of Elul into the heart of the High Holy Days.
We invite you to join us for this engaging and reflective ritual!
